wii-u-high-capacity-battery

Those of you who picked up The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD are probably well aware at how limited the battery can be on the Wii U GamePad if you attempt to play the game for several hours at a time. If you’re the kind of person who only recharges your devices when they’re dead, then you have probably cried yourself to sleep as a result of being unable to play Wind Waker HD due to your GamePad being dead. If you live in Europe, Nintendo has released a new high-capacity battery that can help you play even more Wind Waker without needing to charge your GamePad every few hours.

The new Wii U battery adds a total of 2,500 mAh to your GamePad, which by itself only has a 1,500mAh battery. The additional battery is expected to add a total of five to eight hours of uninterrupted gameplay, which the GamePad by itself would typically only last between three to five hours before it needs more energy.

As of now, there’s no word when or if Nintendo’s official high-capacity battery for the Wii U GamePad will be making its way to the U.S. Hopefully it’ll be released in time for Super Smash Bros. since we’re sure many of you would want to spend as much time possible playing it once it releases.
