playstation-2-batman-tumbler

With the next generation of video game consoles inching ever so closer to being released, we have a feeling you’re going to be putting your older consoles out to pasture. But before you do, consider what Dan Shanks did with an old PlayStation 2 he received from his manager at work. Instead of just throwing it out to become just another video game console in a large landfill, he repurposed it into Batman’s Tumbler.

Shanks didn’t exclusively use the PlayStation 2 to create the Tumbler as he also threw in printer parts and hard drive spacers to give the vehicle the look he was looking for, but you can tell a good majority of the Tumbler uses the old console’s body. The Tumbler measures in at 9 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall and is available for sale over at Shanks’ Etsy page for $250.

Unfortunately, if you’re looking for the Tumbler to play PlayStation 2 games, we have a feeling you may be a bit blind as there’s no way it’d be able to do so in the condition Shanks left it in. Hopefully Shanks comes up with an additional Tumbler that is actually able to play PlayStation 2 games as we’re sure there’s someone out there who wants to have something as cool as this Tumbler be a fully-functional console.
