canon-eos-mAccording to a rumor we heard back in September, an announcement for a new Canon EOS M camera was coming soon, but so far we haven’t heard anything, at least until a new rumor from Canon Rumors that claims that an event will be held by a major retailer on the 10th of November. According to the report, when asked about whether there will be new Canon products, the retailer couldn’t share anything other than the fact that Canon folks will definitely be interested, but apart from that not much else is known.

It is not uncommon for major retailers to get the low-down on upcoming products, and they are usually bound by NDA to prevent information from being leaked ahead of schedule, so with them not actually denying that there will be new Canon products is definitely worth taking note of. Canon Rumors claim that there should not be any new EOS DSLR cameras for the remainder of 2013, suggesting that perhaps the EOS M successor’s announcement is one we can look forward to. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us in the near future for the updates.
