alcatel-pixi-7Wait a minute here, why must the name TCL be invoked when we are clearly talking about an Alcatel product? Well, TCL so happens to be the China-based company that also operates the Alcatel brand where mobile devices are concerned, and their latest tablet is known as the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 – which strangely enough, comes with an extremely affordable €79 price tag that ought to turn heads.

The name of the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 gives the game away right from the get go – this happens to be a 7-inch tablet, and the resolution stands at 540 × 960 pixels, which is not too impressive, really. After all, in this day and age, smartphones with 4.5” display carry such a resolution or better on the low end spectrum of things. As for the rest of the hardware specifications, we are looking at a dual-core 1.2GHz MediaTek MT8117 processor, a choice of 512MB or 1GB RAM depending on the territory it is released in, 4GB of internal memory that can be further augmented via a microSD memory card slot, two VGA cameras, an IR port, Wi-Fi connectivity, Miracast support, and a 2,840 mAh battery to keep things running. One positive from all of this though is the fact that the One Touch Pixi 7 will run on Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, now how about that?
