boombottle-miniScosche has just announced that they will begin to ship the boomBOTTLE H2O and boomBottle mini that were announced at CES earlier this year in Las Vegas, Nevada. These two happen to be the latest editions to Scosche’s range of rugged Bluetooth speakers, where they do pack more bite than meets the eye (or should I say, ears, in this particular case). Specially optimized for outdoor use, these two are tough, portable speakers that would be the ideal companion for the pool, beach, snow, or just about any other adventure where you would like to take your music to go along with you.

Just how tough are these two cookies? Well, the boomBOTTLE H2O has been rated at IP67, which means it can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes, sporting an up-firing 50mm speaker as well as a passive subwoofer, a working Bluetooth range of 33 feet, as well as having up to 11 hours of non-stop audio playback on a full charge of its rechargeable battery. Even better is the fact that it will continue to float even when it falls overboard, now how about that?

As for the boomBOTTLE mini, it is the smallest member of the boomBOTTLE family, but is IPX4 rated for its weatherproof ability, having up to 10 hours of continuous audio playback alongside a Bluetooth range of 33 feet. The boomBOTTLE H2O and boomBOTTLE mini will retail for $99.5 and $49.95, respectively.
