You might recall that back in May, it was revealed that Mario Kart 8 gamers in Japan could look forward to a Mercedes-Benz DLC that would essentially put the serious and sporty-looking car into a game populated by cartoony and sometimes silly-looking vehicles.
Well the good news is that if you wanted the Mercedes-Benz car for your Mario Kart 8, you’re in luck because both Nintendo of America and Europe have announced that the DLC will be making its way to the US and Europe this summer.
The DLC for Japan is a free DLC and it basically introduces the Mercedes GLA-Class vehicle in the game. While it was not specified, we can only assume that the US and Europe version of the DLC will be free as well. In any case both Nintendo of America and Europe mentioned that more will be revealed at a later date, so if this is something you’re interested in, check back with us at a later date for the details.
In the meantime Mario Kart 8 has been doing pretty well for itself. Reports have claimed that the game managed to sell more than 1.2 million units so far and that over in Japan, it even helped to boost the sales of the Nintendo Wii U console.
