Being the second largest mobile carrier in the country AT&T offers customers with a wide variety of smartphones and tablets that they can purchase, so obviously there are many LTE enabled tablets that are available from the carrier. The latest addition to that lineup comes in the form of the Trek HD 4G LTE, a new self-branded tablet by AT&T. It happens to be AT&T’s first branded tablet even though it doesn’t do anything different that what you would expect from a conventional 4G LTE tablet.

Powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor the AT&T Trek HD has a 4,060mAh battery which promises up to eight hours of power. Weighing just 12 ounces the tablet has a 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera, 16GB internal storage, microSD card support and Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed.

It’s certainly no powerhouse but the Trek HD should be capable enough for casual browsing and media consumption. With a new two year contract the AT&T Trek HD can be purchased for as low as $49.99, with the AT&T Tablet Installment plan customers will have to pay $10 monthly for 20 months. Also for $10 per month existing AT&T customers can add the Trek HD to their new or existing Mobile Share Value plan.

AT&T will have the Trek HD available for purchase on its website on May 12th, and in its stores across the country on May 15th.
