Last week Blizzard revealed that they would be introducing hero skins to Hearthstone. Basically these offer up new hero alternatives to the ones available at the moment, complete with their own animation and voice acting. However it seems that Blizzard might have more up their sleeves than we previously thought, and one of them could be a new game mode.
This is according to a recent tweet by Blizzard in which they showed off a short animated gif where one of the menu buttons in Hearthstone got “activated”. Unfortunately the name of the button was not revealed which has many wondering what kind of game mode it could be. However some have speculated that Blizzard could be adding a proper tournament mode which is something that many users have been asking for.

Others have suggested that this might have to do with the new hero skins in which users can click the button to access the skins, but at the same time we have to wonder if this really warrants a new button? After all previously users have been going through the options menu on the side to access cosmetic changes, so this does seem unlikely.
In any case no word on when Blizzard will actually introduce this new feature/mode to the game, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it. In the meantime anyone else care to speculate as to what this might be?
