surface-3-4g-delaySome time in late July, Microsoft did roll out yet another version of their Surface 3 tablet, where that particular model arrived with the added advantage of built-in 4G LTE connectivity. For those who are not too familiar with the Microsoft Surface 3, this particular device has been touted to be a smaller and more affordable version of the Surface Pro 3 tablet, although this does not mean that it is gimped in terms of performance. No sir, it will carry its fair share of common features, where among them include the specially-designed Type Cover keyboards, multi-stage rear kickstand, and Surface Pen support.

We also brought you word that the Surface 3 4G LTE model hit the US via AT&T in July this year, but that was tied down to a carrier. Folks who would want an unlocked model were informed back then that they had to hold their horses until some time at the end of August. August has since come and gone, and it is nice that Microsoft has agreed that they have missed the original launch date.

Without leaving interested clients high and dry, Microsoft has revised the launch dates for the Surface 3 4G LTE, where pre-orders will open in the US on September 3, while folks living in Canada will have to wait for another week, before an official release happens in both countries on September 19. Better late than never, right? [Press Release]
