acer_aspire_r14Nowadays it is pretty common to find notebooks that can also double up as tablets, or at least provide a touchscreen so that users can use it in that manner if they choose. Acer themselves appear to have something similar so if you’re after a convertible-type device, Acer has announced the Aspire R14.

As you can see in the photo above, the Aspire R14 is a convertible notebook. When opened, it can double up as a regular notebook, but you can always flip the display around, prop it up, and use it just as a display, which might be more comfortable if you want to watch movies, carry it around with you, or use it for collaborative purposes.

In terms of specs, the R14 will feature a 14-inch display (resolution was not mentioned).

Under the hood, there will be an Intel Skylake CPU powering it with support for up to 8GB of RAM, SSD and HDD configurations, and will come with Windows 10 preinstalled. As for its priced, it will be set at $699 and will be making its way stateside later this month.
