If you have not heard of Oukitel before, you might want to know that they are behind the Oukitel K400 that was drilled, and this time around, it would be the Oukitel U7 Pro that goes under the knife – not of the surgical type, but rather, one that is used in art and craft, but still sharp enough to be a formidable weapon against just about any kind of material. The 5.5” display of the Oukitel U7 Pro was given some rather harsh treatment by a packing knife and walked away from it with nary a scratch, as you can see in the video above.

In other words, the smartphone itself has been treated to be a cutting board, and while vegetables were sliced and diced relentlessly, not a single scratch or mark was seen on the screen at the end of it all – impressive, to say the least. Perhaps this handset could be advertised to target the adventurous, as it would certainly do well enough to double up as an emergency chopping board. Still, it not having waterproof certification works against it, as you would need to wash your cutting boards before and after each use, right?

For those who are interested, the Oukitel U7 Pro will come with a 5.5” 2.5D curved glass and a 720 x 1280 resolution, a MediaTek MT6580 SoC with a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU, and an integrated projector.
