We live in a world where not all new phone numbers are that – new and untouched, as there are times when a number gets recycled, especially when someone closes the account or does not want to use said phone number any more. Well, it looks like the re-assigned phone number of Sir Mix-A-Lot on Verizon has landed the new owner some pretty interesting and raunchy texts.
Jonathan Nichols is the person in question, where he started to receive offers of backstage passes as well as images of ladies in bikinis from people whom he didn’t even know existed. One of his very first texts had a YouTube link, mentioning “Check this guy out”, where said YouTube video depicted a person making beats out of a synthesizer. Nichols texted back, “That’s pretty cool, but you clearly have the wrong number.”
This has been going on since 2012 back when he picked up his new handset that had hip-hop legend Sir Mix-A-Lot’s old Verizon number. Apart from that, he also received phone calls from luxury-car dealerships such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar, with all of them extending an invitation for a certain Mr. Anthony Ray to drop by and bring one of those exotic rides out for a spin.
