With World of Warcraft: Legion, we see Blizzard returning to some very familiar characters from the Warcraft universe. For those who actually played the entire series of games including RTS, chances are you might already be familiar with some of them. If you’ve read some of the books, then your lore knowledge might be even greater.
For those who haven’t and who might be a bit lost, fret not as Blizzard will be giving you guys a bit of a backstory with the help of Harbingers, an upcoming animated short that they will be debuting at the San Diego Comic-Con on the 21st of July. In the meantime, they have released a short teaser which you can check out for yourself in the video above.
According to the video’s description, “As the latest World of Warcraft expansion draws near, our new animated series, Harbingers, dives into the stories behind some of Azeroth’s mightiest characters.” So far everything looks pretty good and for gamers who need a bit more backstory and whatnot, this should do the trick.
In the meantime Legion will be released on the 30th of August. The pre-patch is already available for download, all gamers need to do is fire up their Battle.net client and it will download in the background. Blizzard has also recently reminded gamers that some of the Warlords of Draenor content will be removed once the pre-patch hits and once the expansion is released, so gamers will want to hurry up.
