Huawei’s decision to launch a sub-brand for entry-level and mid-range smartphones is paying hefty dividends for the company. The Huawei Honor brand has quickly become popular across Asia and the company is now expanding its presence to the West as well. A new Honor smartphone has been spotted at TENAA, the Honor 6X is believed to be a mid-range handset with impressive features like a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner. It’s expected to arrive in the near future.

For those who are unaware, TENAA is basically China’s version of the FCC, any mobile device that is sold in the country goes through TENAA certification. We often find out the specs of a device and even get to see its pictures when it goes through the regulatory body.

The TENAA listing of this handset has revealed some of its pictures but it hasn’t provided us any of the specifications as yet. However, it’s quite likely that we will learn about the specs of this handset before it’s launched in the coming weeks.

At least the pictures that have been published by TENAA show that this handset is going to feature a dual camera at the back as well as a fingerprint sensor, features that you wouldn’t normally expect from a budget smartphone.

Huawei itself hasn’t confirmed anything about this device yet so it can’t be said for sure when the Honor 6X will be launched and how much it’s going to cost.
