iphone se
If you’ve been waiting for a refreshed model of the iPhone SE, you might have to keep waiting if a well-regarded Apple analyst is to be believed. Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities believes that Apple is not going to refresh the iPhone SE early next year, it’s predicted that the company will do this in order to maintain high margins on its high-end iPhones.

The iPhone SE was introduced by Apple in March this year. It’s basically the same device as the iPhone 6s but with a smaller, 4 inch frame that’s aimed at people who don’t want big phones.

The analyst predicts that this iPhone did perform well, he sales that total iPhone shipment volume in the first half of this year was higher due to the “upbeat demand for the iPhone SE.” He new expects volumes to decline in the first half of next year as demand slows down in China and Apple doesn’t introduce a refreshed model of the iPhone SE early next year.

That doesn’t mean it’s going to give up on the iPhone SE altogether. Kuo isn’t predicting that yet, so Apple may very well decide to launch a new iPhone SE later next year, but if he’s to be believed we might not see a new one in March next year.
