A couple of days ago, a post on the Overwatch blog seemed to suggest that the next playable Overwatch character might not be Doomfist, but rather a character named Efi Oladele. It seems that Blizzard has continued with their teasing of the character by uploading the photo above on their Facebook page.
According to the caption that was attached to the photo, it reads, “[BREAKING] OR15 defense units destroyed in confrontation with unidentified attacker at Numbani airport. No civilian casualties reported.” We’re sure that there are some clues hidden in the image that might reveal more hints as to the character’s identity.
In fact at the bottom right corner of the image, it says “PHOTO / Efi Oladele” which reads like a photo credit, suggesting that Efi Oladele might have been the one to snap the photo. In any case we guess we’ll just have to let the internet sleuths go crazy on this and hopefully we’ll have more theories and evidence as to who or what the next character will be.
There is no word on when Blizzard is expected to make the official announcement, especially since there does not appear to be any major events coming up that Blizzard will be part of, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
