Samsung has not launched a new Windows-powered tablet in a very long time and the company is expected to end this streak by launching a new Windows 10 tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2017 later this month. Recent reports suggest that it’s going to unveil the Galaxy TabPro S2 at the event, however, references to a Samsung Galaxy Book have now surfaced in a Windows 10 app, hinting at yet another device running Microsoft software.

Over the weekend, Samsung released a Book Settings app in the Windows Store. The app includes references to an unannounced Samsung Galaxy Book tablet. As far as the app is concerned, it’s meant to provide additional settings for a style, the display, a battery life extender, and the ability to add a pattern lock similar to the one you find on Android devices.

According to a report, Samsung first filed for a trademark for Galaxy Book back in 2012 which covers the use of this brand for smartphones and tablets. No much is known about the tablet that might be launched as the Galaxy Book so it’s unclear if it’s going to be a Microsoft Surface-like tablet like the Galaxy TabPro S2 or a more conventional tablet that’s cheaper and meant for average consumers.

Hopefully, we’ll find out more about this at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona later this month.
