Harvard has long been considered as one of the best colleges in the world and with good reason. It has a long history of producing leaders, thinkers, intellectuals, and business magnates. The acceptance rates are very low, Harvard only admitted 5.2 percent of all applicants for the class of 2021 and now ten of those who received offers from Harvard have seen them being rescinded because they posted offensive memes on Facebook.

According to the Harvard Crimson, at least 10 incoming students have been told that they are no longer welcome at the school after it was revealed that some students were posting sexist and racist memes to a private Facebook group called “Harvard memes for horny bourgeois teens.”

The Crimson’s reports have seen some of the memes but haven’t published them publicly. According to the report, the memes were very shocking and offensive, with some making jokes about the Holocaust and the death of children aside from being overwhelmingly racist.

Students who took part in this were sent emails by Harvard informing them that their admissions status was under review. They were asked to submit a statement to explain their postings and actions which would then be discussed with the Admissions Committee.

According to the report, at least 10 students have had their admission rescinded by Harvard this year, which should serve as warning enough to those indulging in this behavior to reflect and mend their ways.
