Amazon has released its holiday shopping report. The company says that this was its biggest holiday season with customers across the globe. Amazon Prime members continued to grow with more than four million people either starting Prime free trials or beginning paid members in just one week alone. The company has also revealed that the Echo Dot was the top-selling Amazon device this holiday season.

Amazon says that it was a record holiday shopping season for its devices as millions more were purchased worldwide in 2017 compared to last year’s holiday season. The Echo Dot was its #1 selling product during this season with “millions sold.” It was also the best-selling product from any manufacturer in any category across all of Amazon.

The company mentions that customers purchased more than twice as many Amazon Fire TV Sticks compared to last year. It claims that the Fire TV remains the #1 streaming media player family in the United States, UK, Germany, and Japan.

The vast majority of the customers predictably shopped using their mobile app. Amazon says that customers worldwide shopping using its app increased nearly 70 percent this holiday season. It saw more than 1,400 electronics products being ordered per second on a mobile device.

In the fun facts section of its press release, Amazon mentions that customers purchased enough TVs to create nearly 2,500 towers the size of the Space Needle. They even purchased enough Instant Pot pressure cookers to make over nine million bowls of chili at once.
