Amazon has announced a new partnership with Best Buy today for its Fire TV Edition smart TVs. These new TVs will be exclusively sold at Best Buy’s retail stores across the country and they will obviously be available for purchase through Amazon.com as well with Best Buy being the third-party seller. It’s the first direct partnership of this sort between the two major retail giants.

Amazon and Best Buy announced their exclusive multi-year partnership today which will bring the new Fire TV Edition Smart TVs to Best Buy in the United States and Canada. Best Buy will be launching more than ten 4K and HD Fire TV Edition models from manufacturers such as Toshiba and Insignia starting this summer.

These new smart TVs comes with the Fire TV experience out of the box, which blends streaming options as well as live over-the-air TV to provide a complete entertainment experience. The smart TV platform can also be used to access Amazon’s video and music streaming services.

It will continue to add new Alexa skills, software features, and applications to the smart TV platform after launch to provide even more value for money to customers. No actual details about the TVs have been revealed at this point in time so we’ll have to wait to find out their specifications and their price tags.
