The iPhone 2 is “almost done”

Financial analysts have zeroed-in on the idea that the second generation iPhone is in its “final stage”, thanks to information provided by components suppliers (the best source of leaks). According to them, the second iPhone will more or less look the same, but will have a 3G connection (at last!) – no surprise, here.
This new iPhone should be released in the second half of next year, which is like what we previously speculated about, when we said in October that the iPhone 2 would not be launched in January 2008 at MacWorld (read: “Rumor: iPhone 2 for MacWorld 2008?”).
The analysts also believe that a first generation 16GB iPhone would appear in the first half of 2008.

all i care about is the better txting software b/c the quality of the last iphones was poor. the lg vu looks like a better messaging phone. i might buy one in july. it depends how these 2 phones compete.

actually the iPhone just had an update. I kno because I have 1(and im 18 lol) now you can re arrange the home screen and updated map feature and now all I'm waiting on is to be able to record video and send mms messages then it will be the greatest phone ever. Typing on it now

Well it better have everything the old iPhone does not have.
I guess the iPhone out now is not getting any updates because the new one will have it.
