Sony Has New Home Theater-In-A-Box Systems

Sony ain’t letting up with a new pair of 5.1-channel Blu-ray HTIB systems, going by the model numbers BDV-E300 and BDV-E500W. Both bundles will be accompanied by a BD-Live-capable (Profile 2.0) Blu-ray player, whereas the latter will feature integrated S-AIR wireless audio capabilities. This allows you to place your rear speakers in the room strategically without having to worry about pulling cables or having old folks trip over them by accident. Both sets will feature Sony’s Digital Media Port that makes it a snap to control peripherals such as Apple’s iPod and Sony’s own Walkman line. As for the BRAVIA Sync technology, HDMI-CEC fans will be happy to know it has been included. The BDV-E300 Blu-ray HTIB will ship this June for $600 thereabouts, while the BDV-E500W Blu-ray HTIB will arrive at the same time for approximately $800.
