Sony DVP-FX850 portable DVD player

While the focus is on HD DVD and Blu-ray discs at the moment, Sony has just released the DVP-FX850 portable DVD player that comes with some pretty impressive specifications. The stunning 8″ LCD display comes with a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, while it supports DVD-R/RW or DL as well as CPRM (Copy Protection for Recordable Media). Audio wise, consumers are given Dolby and DTS options. Electronista reports that the DVP-FX850 comes with an impressive battery life of 6 hours and will be released this May 1st at an open price.
