Check out the Fiat Lux lamp that comes with an integrated slot which definitely comes in handy to hold magazines and books. With a dual function such as this, your coffee table will have even more space to stuff more glossy magazines that you purchase but never seem to have the time to read. The words “Fiat Lux” are cut out in front of the shade, and for those not in the loop, it means “Let there be light”. Designed by Cate Hogdahl & Nelson Ruiz-Acal, there is no word on whether this design idea will be mass manufactured. I know I would have found one interesting, although it isn’t really that practical as a reading light.
