The long awaited Cowon Q5W portable media player will finally ship early next month. This ain’t no ordinary PMP as it features 802.11b WiFi connectivity that makes it a snap to browse websites, regardless of whether they feature Flash or not. The 5″ 800 x 480 touchscreen display also works great when it comes to viewing web pages as you don’t have to end up with a permanent squint on your face. Users will be able to connect to speakers and headphones sans wires with a Bluetooth receiver, while component and composite ports allow you to output directly to TV sets. Cowon has even thrown in a remote control for you to enjoy your favorite movies from the comfort of your seat. Supported video and audio codecs (not a comprehensive list) include MP3, OGG, MP4, DivX and XviD. The Cowon Q5W will come in 40GB and 60GB models, retailing for $550 and $600 respectively.
