Ultrasonic Bath A Retro Forward-Looking Idea

Sounds confusing? Not really, as Sanyo demonstrated the Ultrasonic Bath way back in 1970 at the World Expo in Osaka. This pod-like human washing machine will clean, massage and dry the user in a fully automated 15-minute process. All you need to do is climb in through an opening located on top of the machine, set the desired water temperature and turn on the main switch – voila! Everything will then work, starting from the pre-rinse cycle that will spray you with jets of hot water for 5 minutes. Next would be being enveloped in hot water for a 3-minute massage bath, thanks to high pressure jets that create a powerful whirlpool, pelting your body with plenty of golf-sized massage balls followed by a 2-minute hot rinse cycle and a 5-minute dry cycle. Too ostentatious even by today’s standards, eh?
