Sanyo’s famous Eneloop label has entered the cycling world with the CY-SPG226 battery-assisted bicycle. It boasts an impressive range of 85km, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to sweat it out when traveling to and fro. This long range is made possible thanks to a battery which recharges itself when you’re going downhill as well as taking advantage of regenerative braking. The bicycle also comes with an old school basket on the front that has a 20 pound capacity, perfect for bringing home the morning’s marketing without having to drive your car down a couple of blocks. The CY-SPG226 won’t be commonplace on roads mainly because of its $1,300 price tag.
