Looks like we’ll all have to wait a little bit longer – at least half a year, before Garmin and Asus’ partnership yield fruit in the form of an Android-powered smartphone. Frankly, the delays that plague this handset could yet do them in as there will be other Android smartphones rolled out before that. Chances are this will be a remake of the device that Garmin has failed to launch this year, so hopefully the added time given to the team will yield some positive end results instead of being a disappointment.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
