Samsung Omnia Pro More Or Less Confirmed For 2009

Guess the Samsung Omnia Pro is most likely to hit the markets sometime this year after initial rumblings in April, and some have even claimed that this Windows Mobile 6.1-powered smartphone is the Samsung Louvre B7610. Well, apart from the 3.5″ AMOLED touchscreen display at 480 x 800 resolution and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, it will also feature the following :-

  • 2 User Interfaces (Pro and Media)
  • HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity
  • GPS navigation
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with DLNA support
  • 5.1-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • 800MHz processor
  • TV out
  • 3.5 mm headset jack
  • Divx/WMV/H.264 acceleration
  • Integrated FM radio
  • 1GB internal memory
  • microSDHC memory card slot

We’re probably looking at an August 2009 release date, so keep your fingers crossed that Samsung won’t price this above the psychological €500 mark – as if there aren’t enough expensive phones around already.
