Casio has just launched the Exilim EX-90, a compact camera aimed at the entry level market with a price of $150. Despite the relatively low price, the Z90 packs a 12 Megapixel sensor and has a 3X optical zoom. Casio has invested a lot of efforts in the smartness of the camera that can recognize subjects, human or not (human features like nose, mouth and eyes were used in the past to detect subjects). It has a smaller display (2.7″) than higher-end compact cameras like the new Exilim EX-450 but it is lighter too (3.59oz). It costs around $150 and will be available in early October.
