DIY cameraphone macro lens

Want to add in a macro lens to your new cameraphone while using existing materials? That can easily be done as long as you have an old DVD player. Disassemble that and take out its lens, followed by making a lens holder out of ordinary cardboard. Place that before the standard lens using some poster mount and you’re good to go with a spanking “new” DIY macro lens, regardless of whether you can shoot 2-megapixels or 12, it ought to work pretty well.
