People movers are often the best way to get around in a city, as it not only frees up congestion on our roads, it also helps make the world a greener place since there would be less carbon emissions. Well, nice to see Chicago’s Botanical Gardens take the extra effort to release the first solar powered people mover in the US, thanks to The Solar Electric Vehicle Company. The vehicles supplied will comprise of large, multi-seaters to golf buggy sized four wheelers, depending on their need at that point in time. They won’t be powered entirely by the sun as they’ll still need to be juiced from the grid, although the panels do add to the range total by up to 33% during the day.
