ACME Comrade rugged portable computer

ACME Portable Machines has unveiled a new Comrade portable computer that comes in a rugged, robust lunchbox form factor that has enough processing power to handle just about anything thrown at it whether you’re in the lab or on the road. Features include a 17″ widescreen LCD display, dual Quad Core processors, DDR2 RAM for that added dash of speed, generous drive bay spaces and expansion slots. Made from heavy duty aluminium where its chassis is concerned, the Comrade will feature 7 open expansion slots, where you can install add-on cards into its multiple PCI-e and PCI slots. The Comrade family will comply with Mil-Std 810F for shocks and vibrations, and CE, FCC and CCC for EMI compliance. [Press Release]
