Could Google be working on a robot control scheme in its Android OS secretly? After all, it can already control a $3,000 Japanese robot, which would mean other robots could fall under its digital hypnotic sway in due time, as though the Android mascot isn’t telling enough. At point of publishing, the 9″ PLEN robot is able to move around thanks to a standard directional or an accelerometer-controlled joystick interface on an Android handset, performing various actions such as hugging, kicking and walking, with a little jig being possible to keep your guests entertained. Why use an Android phone instead of the iPhone, we wonder?
