Samsung Omnia HD gets JB1 firmware update

Samsung Omnia HD owners will be pleased to know that they will be able to download the JB1 firmware update via PC Studio 7, where this firmware will see the introduction of kinetic scrolling to the smartphone, although it does not apply to the whole interface, but in parts only. Apart from that, additional improvements are a zippier web browser, better camera settings and a slew of bug fixes. You might find performance to be pretty sluggish after that though, since the firmware update will leave your system with just 17MB of memory left instead of 30MB prior to this firmware update. Be sure to make a backup before you continue, lest Murphy’s Law strikes!
