Empower rocking chair keeps energy for future use

Ryan Klinger has come up with the Empower rocking chair that is made up of a flat-pack chair of tubes as well as a sling seat which folds out to a bench-style glider seat. Since the rocking mechanism is connected to a gearbox, DC generator, voltage controller and lithium battery, this means all kinetic energy generated can be used later on. All energy is converted through the use of a DC/AC inverter and can be accessed by a USB or standard power outlet in order for it to be connected to other devices in dire need of juice, including a notebook, MP3 player or other gizmos.
