Enphase Energy Environ Smart Thermostat

Enphase Energy’s Environ Smart Thermostat is a pretty interesting system that allows you to check in on your solar panels at night, since you have full authority and power over the heating and cooling of your home courtesy of its Internet-connected microinverters. These microinverters are connected to individual solar panels in order to convert direct current to household alternating current, which is different from sending power through a large centralized inverter. Not only that, there could very well be a future which combines home energy management and on-site energy production thanks to a home-area network. Such a home energy monitoring system would enable one to monitor energy usage and to control devices in order to reduce wasted energy or save money by taking advantage of off-peak rates. Anything that helps us save money while keeping the earth green is always more than welcome.
