AIS offers 12.1-inch Rugged Vehicle Computer

AIS (American Industrial Systems Inc.) has rolled out a spanking new 12.1” Rugged Vehicle Computer which was specially designed to operate reliably even in strong vibration, extreme temperatures, dusty and harsh environmental conditions. Known as the HMI Vehicle PC, it will come with a built-in UPS battery back-up system that works great for sustaining the unit for up to half an hour just in case there is no juice supply at all, making it perfect for delayed system shutdown when it comes to data transmission, mission critical applications, and logging applications. Other features include a 1,000 nit high brightness LCD display that works great even in bright sunlight, delivering sharp crisp images as well as a rugged aluminum alloy housing that helps its internal components remain safe and sound even under the most challenging conditions. It will also conform to Military Standard 810F specs for anti-shock and vibration requirements, featuring a front bezel that has been sealed to IP65 compliant water and dustproof standards. Connectivity options are provided through built-in dual gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n wireless and a wide array of I/O connections which are located on the rear. For the full range of specifications, check it out after the jump. [Press Release]
