Yonsei WebTube HD Box Visits The FCC

The WebTube HD box from Yonsei might not make Google too happy due to it sounding similar to YouTube, but it might turn out to be a good budget version of a Roku box, though with limited abilities. The WebTube HD that has just visited the FCC can be connected to the Internet and fit at the back of your TV and provides users with an interface for viewing YouTube videos, browsing the web and more. There is also the WebTube HD platform with its own TV Application Market, allowing you to download apps for additional functionality. That being said, the lack of Hulu or Netflix support probably will be disappointing to many. Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but if it comes out at a low price point, maybe it come muscle into the competition between the Apple TV and Google TV boxes.
