Mazda has recently made one of the strangest product recalls in history. The well known car manufacturer is recalling over 65,000 Mazda 6 (2009) cars from the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. If you were thinking it was because of some faulty brakes, fuel leaks or engine problems – you’re wrong. The reason for the recall was over concerns about spiders spinning webs inside the car’s vents. Apparently the Japanese car maker has noticed that spiders seem to like making their homes inside their popular mid-sized sedans (they found over 20 tanks infested with webs). Apparently Mazda is afraid of the webs causing clogged vents that could lead to fires. Thankfully there haven’t been any reported cases of such incidents.
