Sony Ericsson txt sends messaging fans over the moonWant a new handset, but not quite sure whether all of that smartphone stuff is right up your alley? Well, there are always feature phones that you can look forward to, and the Sony Ericsson txt certainly does its job well into fooling others into thinking that this is a smartphone at first glance. After all, it comes with a full QWERTY keyboard which is normally the domain of business-class smartphones such as BlackBerrys and the Nokia E series, but the Sony Ericsson txt does otherwise – being firmly in the feature phone category that has been inspired by the Xperia range at an affordable price.

With a full QWERTY keyboard, you ought to be able to compose and send those text messages as well as emails out in a flurry without missing a beat. There is even an SMS shortcut key which paves the way for quick and easy messaging, while an embedded “friends” application will allow you to follow Facebook and Twitter updates instantly – albeit from your selected top five friends only.

Other hardware specifications include Wi-Fi connectivity, a basic 2.6″ display and a 3.2-megapixel camera. No idea on pricing though at the moment…
