Looking for an external hard drive? It looks like Japanese company Green-House will be coming out with three new models of external SSDs (solid state drives) by the end of the month. Unfortunately it looks like they will only be available in Japan, however if you can somehow get one imported, we think you might be pleased with what it has to offer.

They come in three sizes – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and will feature USB 3.0 connectivity along with 220MB/s reading speed and 180MB/s writing speed, which means on top of the naturally faster read/write speeds of a SSD, transferring files to a computer should also be faster thanks to the USB 3.0 connectivity. Of course this goes without saying that if your computer does not have a USB 3.0 port, you will not be able to enjoy optimal performance from these drives.

However these external SSDs will not come cheap and they’re priced at 26,800 ($339), 39,800 ($503) and 78,800 Yen ($997) respectively. Pretty pricey, but that’s the price you’ll have to be willing to pay for speed.
