Yes, we know that T-Mobile will be carrying the HTC Wildfire S, but the smartphone will never arrive to the market by August 3rd if it did not pick up approval from the FCC. Good thing that the particular event has already happened, as new FCC documents point towards the CDMA version of the handset to arrive Stateside across a spectrum of carriers including Verizon Wireless, US Cellular, Virgin Mobile or MetroPCS.

Make no mistake about it, just like its predecessor, the HTC Wildfire S that you see here will remain in the budget category, offering a first taste of Android to the masses for those who are still stuck with a feature phone. The 600 MHz processor won’t be able to do much with graphically intensive games, but at least it has Android 2.3 Gingerbread running right ot of the box in addition to a 3.2″ touchscreen display and HTC’s Sense UI 2.1.
