ASUS Transformer Prime shown off on video Pre-orders for the ASUS Transformer Prime are already live but if you’d like a closer look at the tablet before making up your mind to put money down for the tablet, you’re in luck. The folks over at Ritchie’s Room recently got their hands on the tablet, spent some time with it and posted a pretty detailed first look report on the Android table. Judging by what they’ve written and the video review, you can say they’re pretty excited about it. The only thing negative about the tablet is probably the lack of Ice Cream Sandwich which is slated to arrive on the tablet before the end of the year. Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Transformer Prime: has for official name Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. It is a tablet based on a metal-design that has the particularity of docking to a very thin (optional) keyboard dock that turns it into a small instant-on Android laptop, hence the name "Transformer". The concept was introduced with the first Eee Transformer. The Transformer Prime is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC and has ample room for storage expansion with a microSDXC built-in port, and the keyboard's SDXC port.
