Targeting the high-end U.S. creative market, ASUS has announced the launch of two new flagship monitors: the ProArt Display OLED PA27USD and PA32USD. Designed specifically for professional video editing and high-stakes post-production, these displays combine cutting-edge QD-OLED technology with high-speed performance and precision calibration tools.

Visual Performance and Precision

The lineup features a 26.5-inch model (PA27USD) and a 31.5-inch model (PA32USD), both boasting 4K resolution and advanced QD-OLED panels. These displays offer a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and 10-bit color depth, supporting over 1.07 billion colors. For industry professionals, color accuracy is paramount; both monitors provide 99% DCI-P3 coverage and arrive factory-calibrated with a Delta E < 1, positioning them among the most color-accurate options available in the retail market.

A standout feature for studio environments is the integrated motorized colorimeter. This hardware allows for scheduled auto-calibration, with profiles saved directly to the monitor’s internal chip. This ensures consistent color accuracy across different workstations or operating systems without the need for manual recalibration.

Speed and Connectivity

Breaking the mold for traditional “work” monitors, these units feature a 240Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate (VRR) support, providing exceptional fluid motion. HDR compatibility is comprehensive, covering Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10, alongside DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.

Connectivity is tailored for professional pipelines, including:

  • Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports (with 96W Power Delivery)

  • 12G-SDI port for uncompressed 4K video at 60Hz

  • DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1

  • Integrated USB 3.2 hub

Pricing and Availability

The PA27USD is set to release in May with an MSRP of $2,199. A special edition bundled with an Italian Panaro MAX transport case will be available for $2,599. The larger PA32USD is scheduled for a June release, priced at $2,699. Both models include a complimentary three-month subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, further cementing their position as essential tools for North American creative professionals.
