Slim is in – and the mantra still stands, even though we have seen an evolution in phone size from large to small, and back again to large with the thickness being trimmed away this time around. Well, the HTC Ville that was touted to be released at Mobile World Congress next year is said to be the thinnest handset from HTC just yet – and PocketNow, who supplied the image that you see above, also has a sheet of its leaked specifications to whet your appetite before spring arrives in 2012. Apart from being the thinnest HTC phone to date that flies the Android banner, it will also be the fastest around, with whispers beckoning a new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor to get the job done in double quick time thanks to its dual-core make up. Said to offer 50% faster graphics performance.

Other specifications rumored to accompany the HTC Ville will include the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, HTC Sense UI 4.0, a 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel backside-illuminated camera with 1080p HD video capture, Beats Audio support, and a 1,650 mAh battery. Do you think that this is the future of Android phones, where thinner is better?
