PlayStation VitaAt the PlayStation Vita event in London today, information about the console and games that will be launching with it were revealed. When the Vita goes on sale in the PAL region on February 22, 2012, these games will be available: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Everybody’s Golf, Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Hustle Kings, MotorStorm RC, Top Darts and Super StarDust Delta.

In addition to the launch lineup, a large number of games currently in development for the Vita were revealed; featuring titles such as Asphalt: Injection, Disgaea 3 Return, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, EA Sports FIFA Football, Ninja Gaiden, Michael Jackson: The Experience HD, Rayman Origins, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Touch My Katamari, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom, Mortal Kombat, Assassin’s Creed, Bioshock, Street Fighter X Tekken, Call of Duty and more.

Some Augmented Reality games will be available for the Vita at launch as well, so for folks who want to take a break from serious gaming can have fun playing around with AR markers and games. No word on when we’ll see the games in development being released, but they do look a lot more exciting than most of the launch titles, so let’s hope it’s sooner than later.
