Russound has just announced the AirGo Outdoor Sound Station, where it is said to be the first amplified speaker of its kind that will come with a built-in AirPort Express Dock. Not only is the Russound AirGo Outdoor Sound Station highly portable, it is also weather-resistant to boot, making sure you are able to bring this along with you on your camping and outdoor trips without worrying about it being unable to stand up to the elements, although leaving it out there for a prolonged period of time unattended might not be such a good idea – as with any other piece of electronics.

You are able to place the AirGo outside on a deck, on a lawn, in the driveway or just about anywhere as long as your listener (or you) wants to hear great sounding music. Thanks to the wonders of AirPort Express and AirPlay, you will be able to access your library of tunes from an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC without sacrificing on sound quality to boot. Apart from that, users are able to stream music from iTunes, Pandora or any other music service if they so desire.

Just how portable is the AirGo Outdoor Sound Station? Well, it measures a mere 2.6″ x 12.9″ x 10.2″, tipping the scales at 16.25 lbs. All juice is provided via the AC cord, where it will be conveniently stashed away for easy access onboard the AirGo. Expect to fork out $399 for this puppy if you are interested. [Press Release]
