Facebook Suggested EventsStuck at home on a Friday night with no idea what to do? You won’t have to be anymore, thanks to Facebook’s latest feature: Suggested Events. Suggested Events gathers information from past events you’ve attended, places you’ve checked in to (via Places), events that your friends have RSVP’d to or hosted by Pages you Like and more; and points you towards those events. For folks who don’t check in to places, it makes use of information that it learns from you via Open Graph apps (i.e. music that you listen to).

Through this feature, who knows – you might meet new friends, discover new bands, or places that you’ve never heard of before and most importantly it’ll encourage you to go out and have fun. As opposed to Facebook games that make you sit in front of the computer all day. Sounds like a pretty cool feature that I have yet to make use of but for those of you who are interested, just head over to the Suggested Events page (it is a sub tab of Events) and check it out.
