NOOK Color v.1.4.1 update released

Good news for NOOK Color owners – today, Barnes & Noble has announced a massive update for the Android tablet. The update brings the tablet up to version 1.4.1, and introduces over 100 feature enhancements such as access to top video and music services, more popular apps, NOOK Comics, an enhanced shop experience, a redesigned NOOK Store, and improvements to the book reading experience (read in portrait/landscape with more font sizes to choose from).

The update is available as a download which you can sideload onto your tablet manually now. However if the task seems daunting or you don’t feel like sideloading the update, you can wait for the over the air (OTA) delivery on WiFi that is scheduled to begin this week. As usual, backup your tablet before attempting anything. Head over to the NOOK Color update page to grab the update.
